JVC Satellite Radio - Quality Satellite Receiver Line

Digital Satellite Radio is a method of broadcasting using satellites. The digital signal is transmitted over the 2.3 gigahertz band in North America. Digital Audio Broadcasting has a strong enough signal that you don’t need a dish to receive it. Three companies that offer this type of service are Sirius, Worldspace, and XM. The advantage of this type of broadcasting is that you can take a cross-country trip and not lose your broadcasting signal. No more stations fading in or out in the middle of your favorite song or broadcast.

JVC has always been recognized as quality brand and the digital satellite radio product line certainly is no exception. JVC offers Sirius Satellite Car Audio Kits and a line of digital satellite radio ready receivers ranging in price from forty-dollars to approximately two-hundred seventy-five dollars. The kits contain a receiver with LCD display, an adapter that plugs into your cigarette lighter, batteries, remote, antenna, and mounting unit. You can access up to one-hundred and twenty channels and there are thirty preset stations. This unit comes with an AUX adapter.

JVC offers three plug-n-play digital radio receivers that can plug into the front of your car’s audio receiver and enable you to receive digital satellite radio with very little effort involved. These units are the KT-SR1000, KT-SR2000, and KT-PK3000. Sometimes the kits are packaged with the receivers and other times you need to purchase the kit separate from the receiver. Many JVC car audio receivers are digital satellite ready with AUX adapters that allow your Sirius receiver to plug and play. JVC recently introduced seven different in-dash CD/Receivers units: KD-R900, KD-R800, KD-HDR50, KD-R600, KD-HDR20, KD-R300, and KD-R200. These receivers come with a wide range of options so do your research and make sure you select the receiver that best suits your needs. The functionality varies from unit to unit.

The two USB ports enable you to connect a range of external devices such as: flash drive, IPod, IPhone, and hands free wireless Bluetooth with an external microphone. Music selection is available through the JVC receiver itself or through the IPod or IPhone. LCD displays the artist title, song title, and CD information. Many of these receivers feature HD radio which has a higher sound quality. The higher end unit has five front and rear speaker ports and comes with a detachable faceplate that can illuminate in up to 30,000 different colors.

As previously mentioned, not all JVC receivers come with the cutting edge features introduced in these newly introduced seven CD/Digital Satellite Radio Receivers. There are older JVC receivers that are satellite ready yet need an adapter for the upgrade. Another such adapter is the JVC KS-SRA100 Sirius Radio Adapter that will enable satellite radio as well as send digital transmission of artist title to your receiver’s display.

These products are produced by JVC Mobile Company America; a subsidiary of Victory Company, Japan. Digital satellite radio providers, provide digital satellite radio for the home or vehicle.
